Job description

Job Summary:
Unity is the world’s leading game engine, powering play for more than 3 billion consumers each month. In this high-impact role as a Senior Product Manager in the Platforms organization, you will shape the future of how developers build and ship content, owning the product strategy and roadmap for strategic partnerships while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the execution of an established vision and create a detailed roadmap relating to a critical product area for Platforms and Ecosystem, ensuring alignment across internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Cultivate strong relationships and processes with Engineering counterparts, working as a dynamic duo to lead product areas and drive execution hand-in-hand.
• Drive product delivery as a hands-on Product Owner, from ideation to launch. This includes authoring and refining epics, user stories, and detailed product requirements to guide engineering teams, as well as managing the product backlog and participating in agile ceremonies.
• Lead the quarterly planning process for the Platforms product area. This includes synthesizing strategic input from external partners, coordinating with your internal development team to define scope and dependencies, and presenting the final, approved plan to platform leadership to secure alignment and resources.
• Navigate complex and ambiguous technical challenges that span the company and/or our partners to define clear, high-impact product initiatives that your team can execute on. Manage dependencies and competing priorities between our internal product roadmap and the schedules of our strategic partners.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience shipping games or interactive 3D experiences to market.
• Demonstrated experience managing relationships with partners, such as platform holders or game development studios.
• Deep technical expertise and the ability to evaluate complex technology stacks that cross multiple systems and platforms (i.e. game engines, cloud services, and external APIs).
• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively simplifying and articulating complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences, from engineers to senior executives.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
Preferred:
• Storytelling and visual presentation abilities to distill sophisticated topics into clear and concise communications.
• Knowledge in computer graphics and low level Graphics APIs (eg: Vulkan).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
