About the job

About this role:

Nova Sky Stories is seeking a Senior Event Marketing Director to own the strategy and execution that fills seats at our touring experiences around the world. This leader will be responsible for developing integrated marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales, maximize attendance, and build long-term audience demand across Nova's growing portfolio of live entertainment experiences.

This is a highly commercial marketing role that sits at the intersection of brand, performance marketing, audience growth, and live events. The ideal candidate has successfully marketed large-scale touring productions, attractions, festivals, concerts, immersive experiences, or live entertainment brands where ticket sales were the primary measure of success. They understand how to build excitement before a show, optimize campaigns while tickets are on sale, and maximize revenue through data-driven marketing strategies.

This is a builder role. You'll create scalable marketing playbooks, manage media investments, partner with external agencies and venue partners, and work cross-functionally to ensure every market reaches its attendance and revenue goals.

As a Sr. Event Marketing Director, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Own the end-to-end marketing strategy for Nova's touring shows, with accountability for ticket sales, attendance, and campaign performance.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across paid media, digital marketing, partnerships, PR, social media, email, influencer marketing, and local market activations.
  • Lead media planning, buying strategy, budget allocation, and performance optimization to maximize return on marketing investment.
  • Partner with Brand Marketing, Creative, Sales, Production, and external venue or ticketing partners to launch successful campaigns in every market.
  • Analyze campaign performance, audience insights, pricing trends, and sales data to continuously improve marketing effectiveness and customer acquisition.
  • Build repeatable marketing frameworks that can scale globally while allowing flexibility for local market needs.
  • Own relationships with external agencies, media partners, promoters, and ticketing platforms to ensure flawless campaign execution.
  • Stay deeply involved in campaign execution while continually testing new channels, technologies, and audience growth strategies.

You’ll need to have:

  • 10–15+ years of experience owning event marketing, experiential marketing, live entertainment marketing, or touring event marketing.
  • Proven success developing and executing marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales, attendance, and revenue growth for live entertainment or consumer events.
  • Strong experience managing large paid media budgets across digital, social, search, display, out-of-home, radio, television, and other marketing channels.
  • Deep understanding of customer acquisition, audience segmentation, CRM, marketing analytics, attribution, and campaign optimization.
  • Experience working with ticketing platforms, venue partners, promoters, and external marketing agencies.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate marketing performance into business outcomes and revenue growth.
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Experience marketing global or multi-city touring productions, entertainment brands, or destination-based experiences.
  • Background with organizations such as Cirque du Soleil, Feld Entertainment, Live Nation, AEG, Broadway touring productions, themed attractions, festivals, sports, museums, or similar consumer entertainment companies.
  • Experience launching new markets and developing localized marketing strategies across multiple regions.
  • Familiarity with audience growth platforms, CRM automation, marketing attribution tools, and ticketing analytics.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to be hands-on, solve problems quickly, and continuously improve marketing performance.
  • Creative thinker who combines storytelling with data-driven decision making to deliver measurable business results.

Salary Range: $190,000 to 220,000 USD

At Nova Sky Stories, we're building something that has never existed before—and we want our team members to share in that journey. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer:
