Job description

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Senior Environmental Engineer for a position located in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, or Austin, Texas.. The Senior Environmental Engineer will lead and support a wide variety of environmental engineering projects, including stormwater management, hydraulic analyses, solid waste, remediation, sustainable solutions, design of environmental systems such as containment liners and water quality/treatment systems, and site development for buildings/facilities.

The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of environmental or civil engineering experience.

Local candidates preferred or open to relocation. This is not a remote position.

Senior Environmental Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical solutions for environmental or civil engineering projects.
  • Performing calculations using industry-standard tools and software.
  • Directing and reviewing work products prepared by junior engineering staff, which may include Preliminary Engineering Reports, Options Evaluations, Design Drawings, Calculations, Specifications, Work Plans, Construction Reports, and Cost Estimates.
  • Design programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, etc.
  • Design of environmental systems and facilities.
  • Lead or support of environmental or civil projects or tasks which may include earthwork/grading, stormwater, wastewater, remediation, waste management, and restoration.
  • Preparing reports, studies, and cost estimates to help clients evaluate options and provide solutions.
  • Project management duties such as developing and executing project scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client expectations.
  • Lead oversight of construction and preparation of construction quality assurance (CQA) reports.
  • Internal and External Oral Presentations.
  • Will train and mentor staff.
  • Develop new and maintain existing client and regulatory relationships.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements of the Senior Environmental Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering program from an accredited university.
    7 years of environmental or civil engineering experience.
    PE license.
  • Experience overseeing construction and strong understanding of construction methods and procedures preferred.
  • Project management or assistant project management experience preferred.
  • Available for travel as necessary (approximately 10% travel).
  • Strong knowledge in standard environmental engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
