This is your opportunity to have autonomy, a voice at the table, variety in the types of projects you work on, and to be part of the entire project instead of just one piece of it.

You will work on a wide variety of waterfront projects from marina to yacht club to port projects. Instead of handing off your work and wondering what happened next, you will see projects move from initial planning to construction on the water.

If you enjoy solving complex permitting challenges, working through tough regulatory hurdles, and want the next step in your career where your expertise carries weight, this could be your perfect fit.

  • Prepare permit applications, environmental documents, and agency submissions including SEPA, HPA, DNR leases, and USACE permits
  • Review plans, coordinate environmental studies, and identify potential permitting roadblocks before they become problems
  • Help clients navigate complex regulations and develop practical solutions when permitting challenges arise
  • Manage mitigation calculation and in lieu fee conservation credit and plan development for new mitigation sites
  • Build strong relationships with regulators and stakeholders to keep projects moving forward
  • Manage and mentor junior permit team members

  • Experience preparing environmental documentation and permit applications such as JARPA and SEPA
  • Experience with biological opinions
  • Strong problem-solving skills – with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex permitting obstacles
  • Desire to collaborate with a winning team – let’s work together to do cool things and make work fun

You might have:

  • GIS or ArcGIS experience, Familiarity with CAD software
  • General understanding of marine construction equipment such as tug boats, barges, pile driving, cranes, bubble and sediment curtains, BMPs for pile driving work as well as CERCLA projects and wood preservative treatments (creosote, chemonite).

Senior Environmental Permitting Specialist / Environmental Planner – Benefits

Your compensation will be $125,000 annual salary plus a 15% bonus opportunity.

Your medical insurance will be fully paid by the company for you, with multiple medical plan options available so you can choose the coverage that best fits your needs. You will also have access to an HSA, Section 125 plan, HRA options, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Beyond compensation and benefits, this is an opportunity to spend your time working on projects that improve and enhance waterfront environments throughout the Pacific Northwest. You will enjoy a high level of autonomy, work alongside experienced professionals, contribute your expertise in meaningful ways, and have the opportunity to mentor and develop others. Your knowledge will be valued, your recommendations will be heard, and your work will directly influence the success of important marine and waterfront projects.
