Job description

Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer

Memphis, TN (onsite)

$120,000 - $150,000 + Full Benefits

Auto-Chlor has been a leader in the commercial food service industry for over 85 years. We’re investing in the future of our equipment through IoT-enabled technology and product innovation, and this role will play a key part in that evolution.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on electrical systems, circuitry, and product integration within a manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as the technical liaison between internal teams and a 3rd-party IoT development partner
  • Oversee integration of electronic components into commercial equipment
  • Support product development from prototype through manufacturing
  • Evaluate electrical schematics, circuitry, and system performance
  • Partner with Mechanical Engineering on sensor and system integration
  • Ensure equipment performs reliably in real-world conditions (water, electrical, industrial use)
  • Support regulatory compliance (UL, NSF, CSA, etc.) and maintain technical documentation
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and field operations

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree or comparable years of work experience.
  • 5-10 years of electrical and electronic design experience, along with experience working with regulatory agencies. Experience in the commercial appliance industry is preferred.
  • Embedded Software/hardware design
  • Knowledge of codes and standards for plumbing, sanitation, electrical, and building (NSF, CSA, UL, BOCA, ASSE, UPC, FDA)
  • Electrical/electronic circuit design
  • CAD Modeling – Autodesk Inventor Preferred
