Essential Job Duties
NC State Athletics is a leader in the field of video production. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director, Pack Productions, this position is tasked with providing coordination, vision, management, and implementation of production technology and techniques, for video display boards, the ESPN family of networks, and edited content production. The Director's responsibilities include planning and executing remote field productions for various sports.
Management responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in the hiring and management of staff necessary to implement production for audio/video display boards, network productions and video board content editing. This includes numerous temporary workers for events.
  • Overseeing all aspects of the video and audio control room.
  • Overseeing video and audio support for Olympic sports for web streaming if not originating for ESPN/ACCN partnership productions.
  • Organizing and managing a digital assets library.
  • Supporting internal and external video projects and initiatives including editing content when necessary for the success of our overall productions.

Technical responsibilities include:
  • Scheduling, managing, and directing the technical productions for all NC State
    Athletics Productions.
  • Creating and assisting in the production of promotional materials.
  • Overseeing all phases of the production of video-based projects or programs
    including conceptualization, scripting, planning, lighting, photographing, sound
    Recording, editing, and graphics creation, authoring, and producing.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of experience related to the area of assignment in a Broadcast Television, Radio and Emergingmedia Environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in video and audio production for athletic events.
  • Professional, organized and efficient.
  • Proficient in, Photoshop, After Effects & Maya graphic software or related programs.
