Position Description
The Manufacturing Operations Associate plays an important role in supporting Applied Medical's production and operational functions by gaining hands-on experience across multiple manufacturing areas. Through a combination of on-the-job training, structured learning, and cross-functional collaboration, this position contributes to efficient production planning, material management, and continuous improvement efforts. The Manufacturing Operations Associate helps strengthen operational excellence by building foundational technical skills, supporting key manufacturing processes, and preparing for future leadership opportunities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in hands-on learning across multiple manufacturing plants by shadowing various production roles to gain a strong understanding of Applied Medical's operational workflows.
  • Complete on-the-job training, structured workshops, and guided learning modules to build foundational operational knowledge and technical skills.
  • Learn and apply SAP management systems (ERP/MRP) to support tasks such as material planning, shop floor control, and production tracking.
  • Assist with manufacturing cost analyses, production scheduling, capacity planning, and material requirements planning to support operational decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operations.
  • Develop capacity plans for current and future resource needs by analyzing production data and collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Train and shadow in the responsibilities of a Production Team Leader to prepare for potential advancement into leadership roles.
