Job Title: Data Center & Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Bellevue, WA | Hybrid

Employment Type: Multi-year Contract

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Data Center & Infrastructure Engineer for an industry leader in the Bellevue, WA area โ€” a great opportunity for someone with hands-on data center and enterprise infrastructure experience looking to grow in a fast-scaling environment.

โ€ข      Own and operate a private data center and nine-site MDF/IDF infrastructure, including rack management, cabling, and capacity planning.

โ€ข      Deploy and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter environments; manage HPE server hardware lifecycle including firmware updates and decommissioning.

โ€ข      Monitor and manage UPS systems, PDUs, and environmental conditions; respond to power alarms and coordinate preventive maintenance across all sites.

โ€ข      Administer SAN/NAS/cloud storage; manage enterprise backup jobs, replication, and validate recovery against RTO/RPO objectives.

โ€ข      Support change management, maintain IT runbooks and asset inventories, and participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure emergencies.

Essential Qualifications

โ€ข      Bachelorโ€™s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent work experience; 6+ years of hands-on data center or enterprise infrastructure experience, ideally managing 15+ racks.

โ€ข      Proficiency in VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, HPE hardware, SAN/NAS (iSCSI, NFS, FC), enterprise backup solutions, and APC UPS/PDU power management; ability to lift/rack equipment up to 50 lbs.

โ€ข      Experience with DCIM/environmental monitoring tools, ITIL change management, scripting/automation (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash), and multi-site infrastructure environments.
