Job Overview

An organization is seeking a Senior Dynamics AX / D365 F&O Technical Developer to lead technical development, architecture, integrations, and performance optimization across its Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations landscape. This role will act as the technical SME for D365 F&O and Supply Chain Management, driving enterprise-scale implementations, enhancements, integrations, and best practices while supporting business-critical ERP processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical architecture and solution design across Dynamics AX and D365 Finance & Operations environments.
  • Develop and maintain customizations using X, extensions, Chain of Command, event handlers, and custom services.
  • Design and implement integrations between D365 F&O, external systems, Azure services, and Dynamics 365 CE.
  • Build and support data entities, OData services, batch jobs, and Data Management Framework (DMF) solutions.
  • Develop and maintain SSRS reports and Electronic Reporting (ER) solutions.
  • Manage LCS environments, code deployments, and release management activities.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish development best practices.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable ERP solutions.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7 years of Dynamics AX / D365 Finance & Operations development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with D365 F&O and Supply Chain Management.
  • Expert-level X development skills, including extensions framework, Chain of Command, and event-driven development.
  • Experience delivering full lifecycle Dynamics AX or D365 F&O implementations and upgrades.
  • Strong experience with integrations using OData, REST APIs, Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps, and Dual-write.
  • Experience developing batch processes, custom services, data entities, and DMF solutions.
  • Strong SSRS reporting and SQL performance tuning experience.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, LCS, release management, and automated deployments.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and support enterprise-scale D365 F&O environments.
  • Experience integrating D365 F&O with Dynamics 365 CE/CRM and external applications.

Nice to Have:

  • Dynamics AX 2012 upgrade or migration experience.
  • Power Platform experience including Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations certifications.
  • Experience with Dataverse and Dual-write implementations.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or enterprise ERP environments.
