Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Content Strategist to join our dynamic team for a 12-month assignment to help transform how we connect with our audience through compelling email newsletters. Reporting to the Go-to-Market & Partnerships Manager, this individualwill play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our eNewsletter content strategy for the Intact Insurance brand, with a focus on prevention and climate adaptation. This person has a strong background in content creation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to create engaging, interactive content that drives user interest and builds brand advocacy. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative flair, and hands-on content creation skills.

What you'll do here:

  • Develop and implement a content strategy for a monthly email newsletter that will stimulate interest around prevention and drive traffic to our website and mobile app.
  • Conduct ongoing research and interviews to gather information and build knowledge around climate adaptation and prevention actions, as well as understand audience preferences, segmentation opportunities and trends to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with various internal/external experts and stakeholders to identify and develop content opportunities.
  • Write, edit, and proofread engaging and creative content aligned with the brand positioning and internal guidelines while ensuring all content is consistent with the brand voice and tone.
  • Develop interactive content such as polls, quizzes, and personalized recommendations to enhance engagement.
  • Collaborate with an external agency to bring the content to life in visually appealing and interactive email layouts.
  • Plan and manage the eNewsletter content calendar, ensuring timely and regular communication with our audience.
  • Participate in the performance monitoring and analysis of the eNewsletter and use data-driven insights to optimize content and improve overall strategy.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in email marketing and content strategy.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in content creation and strategy, or a similar role, preferably in email marketing.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in both English and French, an asset.
  • High level of creativity and innovative thinking.
  • Intellectually curious and goal-oriented, constantly seeking new knowledge and ways to achieve excellence.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and initiative in a dynamic setting.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to present ideas to senior management.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
