They often supervise junior technicians, manage complex technical issues, and ensure that IT systems run efficiently. Their responsibilities may include network setup, data backup and recovery, virus removal, and providing technical support to users. Senior Computer Technicians typically have several years of experience and hold certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior computer technician?

To thrive as a Senior Computer Technician, you need expert knowledge of computer hardware, software troubleshooting, network configurations, and typically an associate degree or relevant certifications like CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional. • 401k match, tuition assistance, and more.
  • Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects.
