IT Support Specialist โ€“ JNWC (TS/SCI)
Location: Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM

Position Overview
Aegis Aerospace is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to support the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The JNWC supports the Department of Defenseโ€™s navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission and efforts to ensure U.S. positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) superiority. As part of the JNWC team, you will provide hands-on information technology support for the systems, equipment, and infrastructure used to enable critical operational and mission requirements.
This position supports a broad IT environment encompassing end-user hardware and software, network infrastructure, communications systems, audiovisual technologies, mobile devices, and related facility IT systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting across multiple technologies, working directly with users, maintaining accurate IT asset information, and supporting operations within a classified government environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for end-user hardware including laptops, printers, tablets, mobile devices, copiers, and associated peripherals.
  • Support commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), government off-the-shelf (GOTS), web-based, and other approved software applications.
  • Troubleshoot and support network infrastructure and connectivity issues involving routers, switches, end-user devices, site infrastructure, and other IT equipment.
  • Support Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), video teleconferencing (VTC), audiovisual display systems, wireless technologies, analog systems, duress alarms, and related communications equipment.
  • Schedule and coordinate desk-side support for software installations, upgrades, hardware replacements, and hardware or software break/fix activities.
  • Configure and deploy new end-user equipment including laptops, mobile devices, printers, copiers, VTC systems, VoIP phones, and other peripherals.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve connectivity and technical issues affecting users, equipment, or site infrastructure.
  • Coordinate on-site break/fix activities with hardware maintenance providers and other technical vendors.
  • Provide after-hours technical support when required to meet mission needs.
  • Maintain accurate IT infrastructure and asset inventory information.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled inventories of IT cabinets, network equipment, and associated infrastructure.
  • Maintain and update equipment photographs, technical drawings, inventory records, and asset information.
  • Participate in facility construction and modification planning by identifying and documenting IT infrastructure and technical requirements.
  • Recommend improvements to customer support and IT processes through evaluation of new technologies, tools, and support practices.
  • Work with government personnel, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve IT support requirements.
  • Support the integration of C4, cyber, and cyberspace capabilities into JNWC strategic and operational objectives as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional IT support, systems support, network support, or related technical experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with current eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
  • Hands-on experience supporting end-user computing devices, peripherals, software, and network-connected equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and end-user technical issues
  • Experience configuring and deploying computers, mobile devices, printers, phones, and other IT equipment.
  • Ability to document technical issues, asset information, configurations, and support activities accurately.
  • Strong customer service, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a classified Department of Defense or government environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing Information Assurance Technician support within a large government, defense, or federal consulting environment.
  • Current IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, EC-Council Certified Network Defender (CND), or equivalent qualifying certification.
  • Experience supporting DoD IT environments, military installations, or classified networks.
  • Experience with VoIP, VTC, audiovisual systems, routers, switches, wireless technologies, or related communications infrastructure.
  • Experience coordinating hardware maintenance, vendor support, equipment inventories, or IT infrastructure installations.
  • Experience supporting facility construction or renovation projects involving IT infrastructure requirements.
  • Knowledge of C4, cyber, cyberspace operations, NAVWAR, or positioning, navigation, and timing mission environments is a plus.
