Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cognitive Scientist to lead research and development efforts focused on applying cognitive science principles to artificial intelligence within enterprise business applications. This role involves designing advanced approaches for learning representations from textual data to enhance information discovery and support human decision-making. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cognitive modeling, training design, and performance metrics, along with hands-on experience in AI, machine learning, and natural language processing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply cognitive science principles to enable AI solutions in enterprise business applications.
  • Design and implement methods for learning representations from textual data to improve information retrieval and decision-making.
  • Lead R&D initiatives in training design, competency modeling, and cognitive performance metrics.
  • Identify cognitive training requirements and develop cognitive skills training programs.
  • Develop and validate metrics for assessing cognitive performance and competency models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cognitive science into AI-driven systems.
  • Contribute to all phases of software development, with emphasis on planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in cognitive science, AI, or related fields.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), knowledge discovery, data mining, and unstructured data analytics.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, or Python.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: NLP, text understanding, classification, pattern recognition, recommendation systems, targeting systems, or ranking systems.
  • Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at time of proposal submission.

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong research background in cognitive science and its application to AI.
  • Experience designing cognitive training programs and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI applications and human-computer interaction.

Salary Range: $ 130,000- $ 140,000 annually
