Senior Cisco Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cisco Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Cisco products and a strong background in network support, implementation, and troubleshooting. This role requires a broad network specialist who can handle complex network environments, provide expert-level support, and ensure the successful delivery of network projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, Implement, and Support: Plan, configure, and deploy Cisco-based network solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Change Management: Execute network changes, upgrades, and migrations with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Network Optimization: Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience working with Cisco products as a network engineer.
  • Certifications: Must hold one of the following certifications: CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
  • Authorization: Must be a US Citizen (USC) or hold a Green Card (GC).
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
    • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, VPNs, QoS).
    • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
    • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and SD-WAN solutions is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
