Job Title: Sr. Chief Estimator
Job Description:
As the Sr. Chief Estimator in the construction industry, you will play a pivotal role in leading the estimating department and driving the successful procurement of projects through accurate cost estimation, strategic bidding, and competitive pricing strategies. Leveraging your expertise and technical skills, you will oversee the preparation and submission of comprehensive estimates for construction projects of varying size and complexity.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the estimating team, including senior estimators, estimators, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and continuous improvement in estimating processes and methodologies.
Bid Strategy and Analysis: Develop and implement bid strategies and pricing models to effectively compete for construction projects in the marketplace. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to identify project requirements, risks, and opportunities. Collaborate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to solicit competitive bids and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Lead the preparation and review of accurate and detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
