Job description

Job Title: Senior Accountant


Summary:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for handling various accounting and administrative functions for our manufacturing facilities in Bowling Green, OH in addition to supporting the other sites as necessary. Duties will include Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), journal entries, assisting with inventory tracking and audits, bank and credit card reconciliations, and other related general accounting duties.  You will also work closely with the management, operations, and R&D teams located at our facilities to provide accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting.


Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices and payments for AR and AP
  • Record financial transactions in the general ledger
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
  • Assist with month-end close and produce financial reports
  • Assist with set up, tracking, and audits of inventory
  • Assist with tax filings and audits (as needed)
  • Perform other relevant accounting duties as assigned


Education, Experience, and Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business field
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or related field
  • Logical thinker with problem solving skills and an aptitude for systems/technology
  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • Understanding of general ledger and accounts payable system functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with QuickBooks and ERP Systems 
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to work with all resource levels within the company
  • Must be able to learn in a fast-paced environment and pivot as needed
