We are searching for the best talent for a Manager, Digital Transformation - MedTech R&D. This role can be located at any J&J MedTech site and will work a Flex/Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week onsite.This position that may require up to 20% domestic or international travel.

Purpose:

The Manager, Digital Transformation is accountable for owning, evolving, and realizing value from sector and enterprise digital platforms and capabilities that enable MedTech R&D. This role combines product ownership, platform stewardship, ecosystem leadership, and innovation enablement to ensure digital investments remain scalable, sustainable, and valuable over time.

The Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of digital platforms - including Product Lifecycle Management, Risk & Requirements, and adjacent R&D capabilities - while adapting to changes in business scale, operating models, and technology. While specific tools and technologies may evolve, accountability for outcomes, value realization, and long term platform health are critical responsibilities of the role.

The Manager owns defined platforms, products, or capability areas; may lead people or operate as a senior individual contributor with product accountability; typically, more hands on in execution and delivery; owns capability level roadmaps and onboarding success; scope typically focused on defined domains or subsets of the ecosystem.

You will be responsible for:

  • Product ownership and lifecycle management of sector R&D digital platforms, including deployments, operations, adoption, and value realization.
  • Strategic planning, roadmap development, governance, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Innovation enablement through automation and adaptive, data driven digital capabilities; evaluation and sponsorship of emerging technologies.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • At least 8-12+ years of applied experience. Equivalent experience, certifications, or demonstrated expertise may be considered in lieu of formal years of experience.
  • Proven experience in digital transformation, sector platforms, or product ownership.
  • Strong understanding of R&D processes and regulated environments.
  • Ability to define vision, roadmaps, priorities, and governance models.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to own and deliver defined platforms or capability areas.
  • May lead people or operate as a senior individual contributor.
  • Strong execution focus and delivery accountability.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically (US) and international.

Preferred:

  • Experience leading global digital platforms or portfolios.
  • Experience with PLM, Risk & Requirements, or digital thread enablement.
  • Exposure to automation, AI, or emerging digital technologies.
