RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Commerce, CA that is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer.
Summary:
The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer independently delivers complex reporting solutions and takes ownership of data quality and stakeholder needs. This role bridges technical skills and business understanding to support decision-making, improve workflows, and optimize outcomes. This position is proficient in SQL and BI tools and are growing their influence across teams and departments.
Responsibilities:
* Independently delivers reporting and analytical solutions
* Develops interactive dashboards and performance scorecards
* Analyzes large datasets and draw insights
* Ensures data quality and reliability in outputs
* Collaborates with business stakeholders to define needs
* Writes complex SQL queries and optimize existing logic
* Designs scalable, reusable BI assets
* Automates report delivery and processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred
* Certifications in data visualization or business analysis preferred
* 5-8 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in healthcare Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, SSRS, etc.) required
* Strong SQL skills and data profiling capabilities
* Ability to design and develop dashboard and reports based on User Experience best practices
* Ability to design dashboards and reports to meet business requirements that also align to strategic goals of the organization
* Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
* Strong critical thinking and business acumen
* Self-motivated with time management and collaboration skills
* Experience with relational databases and complex reporting platforms required
* Experience analyzing medical claims, eligibility, and provider data preferred
* Familiarity with value-based care or quality reporting preferred
* Familiarity with Scrum Agile preferred
* Ability to deliver BI solutions in a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
* Ability to sit, stand, lift (up to 20 lbs.), bend, and walk, as required, for carrying out the duties of position
Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance:
* Work is based in an office environment, climate controlled through air conditioning
* May be required to attend off site meetings and other related functions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
