About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence professional to support the design, development, and ongoing support of commercial business intelligence applications and data solutions.

This is an individual contributor role where you will work closely with commercial and sales operations stakeholders to understand business needs, translate data requirements into technical solutions, and help improve data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support commercial business intelligence applications and related architecture.
  • Partner with commercial and sales operations teams to understand, prioritize, and translate data and reporting requirements into effective solutions.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical and data-related issues.
  • Improve the performance and usability of BI tools through effective data filtering, indexing, and optimization.
  • Establish testing methodologies, standards, and acceptance criteria for BI solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training and coaching materials to help business users effectively leverage BI tools.
  • Establish standards, policies, and procedures related to the structure, functionality, and governance of BI systems.
  • Define and monitor data and information quality metrics.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop recommendations or business cases for enterprise-wide BI solutions.
  • Apply sound technical judgment to develop practical solutions for complex or evolving business requirements.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and applicable professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts, data structures, reporting, and analytics.
  • Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical or data-related problems.
  • Experience with BI performance optimization, data quality, testing, and governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requirements, and make sound technical decisions with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
