Our Toy department will amaze you with the state's largest selection of all the most popular toys from all the top brands. Lastly, the Sporting Goods department that will set you up for your next outdoor adventure. These hard working men and women are part of the fabric of your community. Ace Hardware - Immediate Opening for Retail Asset Protection Manager

Are you passionate about protecting assets and ensuring a safe shopping environment?

The General Store, a locally owned ACE Hardware store in Spokane, WA, is looking for a highly skilled Asset Protection Manager to join our team. As an Asset Protection Manager, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our assets and providing top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead asset protection team in identifying and addressing potential concerns such as shoplifters and inventory errors.
  • Manage and mitigate internal and external shrink.
  • Supervise, train and, instruct AP agents and door greeters .
  • Responsible for accident prevention as well as customer and associate safety.
  • Ensure all OSHA and WSHA regulations and policies are followed.
  • Monitoring cash handling, overages and, shortages, working closely with front end supervisors and manager.
  • Monitoring internal and external surveillance systems as well as facial recognition systems.
  • Ensure that proper cash register procedures and policies are being followed by cashier (BOB & LISA).
  • Tour interior and exterior of store daily to identify safety and/or security concerns.
  • Responsible for ensuring fire and burglar alarms are in good working order.
  • Ensuring fire systems and fire extinguishers are up to date and in good working order.
  • Provide positive representation of the store and assist customers with problem-solving.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure a friendly shopping experience.
  • Take part and participate in weekly manager/owner meeting
  • Utilize basic computer operations and Microsoft Excel for store operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • 1+ years of retail loss prevention management/retail asset protection supervision experience preferred
  • Must be objective and impartial when making judgements
  • Strong visual presence and motivation to work
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel between multiple locations within Spokane County
