Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Finance Applications will lead the strategy, delivery, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise finance applications with a primary emphasis on Oracle Finance capabilities. This role partners closely with Finance leadership and process owners to translate business priorities into scalable application roadmaps, reliable delivery plans, automation opportunities, and measurable business outcomes. The leader will provide hands-on functional and technical direction across core Finance domains while serving as a trusted advisor to executives, senior leaders, directors, and individual contributors.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinance Applications Strategy & Roadmap
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year Finance applications roadmap aligned to Finance priorities, enterprise architecture, business controls, and transformation objectives.
  • Partner with Finance leaders to prioritize enhancements, regulatory or control needs, technical debt reduction, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Translate business goals into clear application outcomes, delivery plans, resource needs, and measurable success criteria.
Oracle Finance Delivery & Product Ownership
  • Lead delivery and support for Oracle Financials and related finance applications across GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash, Intercompany, Revenue Recognition, Channel Revenue Management / BER, EPM, Cost Accounting, Tax, and Treasury.
  • Oversee requirements, solution design, configuration guidance, integrations, testing, cutover, hypercare, release management, and production support.
  • Ensure finance processes are designed for scalability, global consistency, automation, auditability, and operational resilience.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management
  • Build trusted relationships with Finance executives, VPs, Senior Directors, Directors, managers, business process owners, and individual contributors.
  • Facilitate decision-making across Finance, IT, external partners, internal controls, audit, compliance, procurement, supply chain, sales operations, and data teams.
  • Communicate complex application issues in business terms, including risks, tradeoffs, options, timelines, and enterprise impacts.
Operational Excellence, Controls & Support
  • Establish support models, service levels, escalation paths, incident management practices, and root-cause analysis for critical Finance applications.
  • Drive standardization of financial processes, master data governance, security, segregation of duties, SOX-relevant controls, and audit evidence readiness.
  • Use metrics and executive reporting to monitor production health, backlog, delivery throughput, adoption, and user satisfaction.
AI Vision, Automation & Continuous Improvement
  • Define a practical AI vision for Finance Applications, including automation, anomaly detection, reconciliation assistance, intelligent close, knowledge management, predictive issue prevention, and user self-service.
  • Partner with Finance and Data teams to identify high-value AI use cases that improve speed, accuracy, controls, productivity, and decision support.
  • Promote responsible AI practices, data quality, security, transparency, and change management as AI capabilities are introduced.
People, Vendor & Program Leadership
  • Lead internal team members, contractors, system integrators, and vendor partners to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Coach and develop team members in Oracle Finance applications, stakeholder engagement, business analysis, delivery discipline, and executive communication.
  • Manage budgets, statements of work, vendor performance, project status, risks, issues, and executive-level governance materials as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience implementing, supporting, or leading Oracle Finance applications, preferably Oracle Cloud ERP / Fusion Financials and related EPM or revenue platforms.
  • Deep functional understanding of core Finance processes, including Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, close and consolidation, intercompany, cash, tax, costing, and revenue accounting.
  • Proven experience partnering directly with Finance leaders at VP, Senior Director, Director, manager, and individual contributor levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional delivery across IT, Finance, business operations, audit, controls, data, integration, and external implementation partners.
  • Strong communication skills, including executive-ready written updates, crisp verbal communication, meeting facilitation, issue framing, and decision support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and program management capabilities in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Ability to operate strategically while also engaging in functional detail when required to unblock delivery or support critical operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Financials, EPM Cloud, RevPro, Channel Revenue Management, Vertex, HighRadius, banking integrations, or adjacent Finance platforms.
  • Experience leading ERP transformation, stabilization, post-go-live optimization, or finance modernization programs.
  • Knowledge of SOX controls, system security, segregation of duties, application governance, and audit support.
  • Experience with data governance, reporting, analytics, AI/ML use cases, automation tools, workflow orchestration, or enterprise integration platforms.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams, contractors, managed services, or systems integrator relationships.
