Job description

Overview
The Senior Payroll Analyst is a senior individual contributor responsible for executing complex payroll tasks, performing reconciliations, supporting reporting, and assisting with payroll system administration, and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance across the organization. This role supports the Payroll Lead operationally, serves as a backup functional lead when needed, and provides mentorship and guidance to Payroll Specialists and other team members on payroll processes, system use, and best practices. The Senior Payroll Analyst collaborates with HR, Finance, and other cross-functional partners to interpret payroll data, resolve issues, and contribute to continuous payroll process improvement.
Pay for this position: $ 29.99 / hr - $33.72 / hr
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting
Responsibilities
  • Process and reconcile payroll for multiple pay cycles, handling complex calculations, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with reporting requirements.
  • Support ADP system administration and configuration.
  • Maintain documentation of payroll processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with payroll audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Serve as a backup to the Payroll Lead on payroll functions as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as required to support payroll operations.

Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of progressive payroll experience, with advanced technical knowledge of payroll systems, preferably ADP.
  • Demonstrated expertise in payroll processing, reporting, and compliance, including federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Processes complex data sets with precision and thoroughness in high-volume environments while effectively managing time to meet deadlines and prioritize competing tasks.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills; able to interpret data and identify discrepancies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with HR, Finance, and internal partners.
  • Commitment to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills required; intermediate Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools to automate payroll processes, enhance reporting, and improve efficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.
  • Payroll certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus but not required, demonstrating professional commitment and expertise.
