Senior Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in Riverside. This position will play a key role in supporting the accounting department through month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger management. The ideal candidate is a proactive accounting professional with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accountant looking to contribute to a collaborative team while positioning themselves for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
  • Manage month-end and year-end close activities
  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts
  • Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits
  • Assist with financial reporting and management reporting requirements
  • Review accounting transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and provide financial support
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
