About the Opportunity

Join a growing professional services organization where your accounting skills will make an immediate impact. We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accounting Professional who enjoys solving problems, keeping financial information accurate, and taking ownership of their work.

This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring three days per week in our Orange County office.

What You'll Do

Accounting

  • Perform bank account reconciliations and research discrepancies.
  • Process Accounts Payable, including invoice review, vendor payments, and account maintenance.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Assist with client and internal billing activities.
  • Support month-end close and other accounting projects.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

Operations & Compliance

  • Coordinate state licensing renewals and monitor compliance deadlines.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing business correspondence and mail.
  • Maintain accurate data across multiple accounting and business systems.
  • Communicate with internal departments, vendors, and government agencies as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and administrative initiatives that support the accounting team.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent accounting experience.
  • One to three years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits, account reconciliations, journal entries, and Accounts Payable.
  • Experience with Bill.com and/or Sage Intacct is strongly preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
