Financial  Additions has a client seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for an 8-month temporary contract assignment in the Irvine, CA area. This role will support the finance team with general accounting duties, month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and project expense tracking.
Position:  Senior Staff Accountant
Job Type: Temporary Contract
Assignment Length: Approximately 8- months
Pay: $40-$45/hour
Location: Irvine, CA
Education: Bachelor’s degree required

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
  • Reconcile bank activity, balance sheet accounts, fixed assets, and sales/use tax transactions.
  • Track project expenses and support variance analysis.
  • Review invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and related documentation.
  • Prepare reports and provide accounting support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with ERP/system implementation support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field required.
  • 3-5  years of accounting or general ledger experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting cycles.
  • ERP experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational improvements
  • Accounting background working in Manufacturing or Construction highly prefered.
