Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and AHA certifications.

Details
  • Medical-Surgical Combination unit in a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center hospital
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Patient ratio of 6:1
  • 12-bed unit
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM โ€“ 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • May float to other Med/Surg units as needed
  • EMR: Meditech
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN or Compact)
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a Med/Surg setting required; 2+ years preferred
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
Additional Information
  • Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
  • Any scrub color is acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
  • Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
  • All clinical staff working in Tennessee must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
  • Local candidates are not eligible for this travel position
