Job description

SEEDWAY, LLC is headquartered in Hall, New York and currently employs 280 employees (including seasonal workers) nationwide. SEEDWAY is part of the GROWMARK system, an agricultural subsidiary serving more than 100,000 customers across North America, Canada, and Mexico. SEEDWAY, LLC is a full-line seed company providing high quality, high-performing farm seed products as well as lawn and turf products throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New England states, Florida, and South Carolina. We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada.
We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Vegetable Seed Sales Processing Assistant to support our team during peak plant season and beyond. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring smooth operations across our vegetable business-helping to streamline workflows, eliminate backlogs, and deliver exceptional service to both internal teams and greenhouse partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage greenhouse work orders and order releases for our greenhouse partners
  • Allocate seed inventory to orders, coordinate transfers, and identify the most cost-effective shipping solutions
  • Proactively communicate seed inventory needs to the Category Manager to ensure timely availability
  • Partner with greenhouse vendors to coordinate delivery schedules and align billing processes
  • Validate and build plant inventory records to support accurate and timely billing
  • Generate invoices for grower customers with precision and attention to detail
  • Review and assist in approving greenhouse partner invoices
  • Maintain accurate records in SowLogic, including seeding dates, quantities, germination rates, and seedling quality data
  • Support the SowLogic sales process by communicating effectively with sales representatives and responding quickly to requests
  • Collaborate with multiple vegetable seed locations to help reduce backlogs and accelerate order completion during peak periods

Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support, including copying, filing, mailing, and document management
  • Assist with other duties as needed to support team success

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience, plus 1-3 years of clerical or administrative experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with greenhouse partners and internal teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with JD Edwards is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated strengths in time management, collaboration, customer focus, and problem-solving
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

  • Occasional travel (including overnight) is required for the annual SowLogic Team Meeting
