Job Summary:
LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking a talented Information Security Systems Engineering professional to join their Network Security Engineering Team supporting managed network infrastructures and Services for federal government customers. The role involves providing engineering support for enterprise security, conducting network analysis, and managing security products and services.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Act as primary engineering support for enterprise security gateway access control, baseline configuration management and system performance testing to ensure requirements compliance
โ€ข Conduct and analyze network packet captures, interpreting the data and communicating the results to stakeholders
โ€ข Supports full program development lifecycles of new Security products and services including concept, design, test, installation, operations, maintenance and disposal.
โ€ข Supports Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)-based security architectures to maintain compliance with customer-tailored National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) security controls
โ€ข Manage and maintain enterprise configuration and provide internal and external (customer) tier 2 technical support for the following major systems:
โ€ข Web Application Firewall (WAF)
โ€ข Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
โ€ข Global and Local Load Balancer
โ€ข Firewall Support
โ€ข API Gateway
โ€ข Develop internal requirements, CONOPs and interface control documents from customer / product requirements
โ€ข Develop, maintain and publish network security technical documentation in accordance with Client Systems Engineering processes
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข A bachelorโ€™s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience; or a masterโ€™s degree in the same field with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
โ€ข Minimum of 1 yearsโ€™ experience of networking background including knowledge of data flow principles and troubleshooting of complex customer issues
โ€ข Minimum of 1 yearsโ€™ experience in routing protocols, VPNs, VLANs, SPANs, trunk and access ports, TCP/IP, and the OSI model
โ€ข Minimum of 1 yearsโ€™ experience working with engineering processes including SP 800-160 Vol1
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience in network security and management technologies, including but not limited to firewalls, routers, switches, IDS, WAF, and various VPN technologies
โ€ข Experience in applying compliance standards of customer tailored NIST and FISMA controls and policies to applications and networking-related equipment
โ€ข Experience in collecting and analyzing system logs and event data, with a focus on conducting root cause analysis using device logs or SIEM tools to document findings
โ€ข Experience using Linux and Windows Operating Systems (OS) command-line tools
โ€ข Prior federal telecommunications and network security experience
โ€ข Networking Associate Level certification (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, CompTIA Network+)
โ€ข Other relevant certifications (e.g., GIAC, CISSP, Security Vendors, etc.)
