Job description

Security Systems EngineerIntroduction:

This position is for a Technical Expert specializing in Physical Security Systems Engineering. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with enterprise PACS systems and expertise in access control design, credential technology, video surveillance, ALPR/vehicle gate design, emergency mustering systems, industrial/chemical environments, regulatory compliance, and multi-site global rollout experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement access control systems, including clearance/zone models, anti-passback, multi-factor readers, and mantrap/turnstile design.
  • Utilize expertise in credential technology, such as HID Seos/DESFire, mobile credentials, and badge lifecycle management.
  • Design video surveillance systems, including camera placement, VMS configuration, retention sizing, and AI analytics tuning.
  • Create ALPR/vehicle gate designs, including lane layout, camera positioning, and intercom/exception workflows.
  • Design emergency mustering systems, ensuring offline operation and muster-point hardware functionality.
  • Deploy systems in industrial/chemical environments, considering hazardous-area hardware, corrosive atmospheres, and plant safety integration.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with CFATS/MTSA site security plans and ISO 27001 Annex A physical controls.
  • Lead multi-site global rollouts, including legacy PACS migration and badge cutover planning.
Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Deep hands-on experience with at least one enterprise PACS system (e.g., Genetec, LenelS2 OnGuard, C•CURE 9000, Pro-Watch)
  • Access Control design expertise
  • Credential technology knowledge
  • Video surveillance design experience
  • ALPR/vehicle gate design proficiency
  • Emergency mustering system design experience
  • Experience deploying in industrial/chemical environments
  • Regulatory familiarity
  • Multi-site global rollout experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in enterprise PACS systems (e.g., Genetec SC-OMN/SYN, Lenel Certified Expert)
