Security Dispatcher

Brownstone Security is seeking a Security Dispatcher to work in a Security Operations Center. Additional duties and responsibilities will be defined in the site-specific post orders.

Responsibilities

  • Be alert and attentive while on duty to ensure personal safety and your ability to observe activities, irrelevant of working environment.
  • Collaborate with all Brownstone Security and client staff, irrelevant of position rank or title.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Answering incoming calls and properly processing them.
  • Processing of incoming alerts from various software programs.
  • Monitoring Video Surveillance systems.
  • Monitoring of the dispatch system to ensure safety and quality assurance.
  • Monitoring of Quality Control systems and taking action as needed.
  • Filing proper reports related to different types of alerts and incidents.
  • Properly following detailed SOP’s and policies regarding alerts and incidents
  • Multi-tasking between different types of issues
  • Practice all safety rules and procedures, at assigned post, as established by Brownstone Security to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Report designated activities and irregularities by submitting written and/or verbal reports.
  • Additional essential duties will be defined in the Post Orders of the specific post for which the security officer is assigned.

Requirements

  • 18+ years of age
  • Security Guard Permit as required by state law.
  • Documents that establish identity
  • Documents that establish authorization to work in the U.S

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Listen, understand, summarize, transfer and retain basic instructions and detailed information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to write detailed reports.
  • Excellent Computer skills including fluency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to observe and report activity.
  • Security or related experience.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Associate’s degree
  • Knowledge of security operations and procedures
