This is a great opportunity for candidates with a strong interest in security or who want to build a career in threat monitoring and intelligence. Although previous operational security experience is ideal, we welcome applications from anyone with related experience and skills (e.g. research, customer service or business management) who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This includes recent graduates with a demonstrated interest in the security industry. Sibylline offers GSOC Operators a clear and established career progression pathway towards becoming skilled Intelligence Analysts within the private sector. The hours for this night shift position are: 11:00PM/11:30PM to 07:00AM/07:30AM Thursday - Monday.

Qualifications
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely response to incidents, alarms, notifications, and calls for service on their relevant shift.
  • Ensure all forms of communication, such as emails, phone conversations, and personal interactions, are conducted in a confidential, courteous, and professional manner and documented appropriately.
  • Maintain knowledge of GSOC-specific standard operating procedures.
  • Manage life-safety, alarm, communications, reporting, video management, and access control functions at designated locations.
  • Investigate and respond to alarms promptly.
  • Evaluate and process information received from all available sources and respond with appropriate communication and dispatch procedures.
  • Communicate security issues or emergencies by escalating information to department leadership, local law enforcement, emergency services, such as EMT, fire departments, etc.
  • Participates regularly in security/safety training programs to stay current on critical GSOC responsibilities and competencies inclusive of drills and tabletop exercises.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Quick learner with strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Organized and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective team player who can also work independently.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Basic IT literacy.
  • Preferred experience in Security Operations and familiarity with incident management platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (preferred).
  • Familiarity with access control and CCTV systems (preferred).
  • Experience with security tools such as Lenel and Genetec (preferred).

Work Environment/Physical Requirements
This position is moderately self-directed and requires understanding and compliance with company policies, procedures, and values. The position works in an on-site office environment utilizing a computer and standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to interact collaboratively with the team and stakeholders, and communicate via phone, radio, videophone, or text messaging. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The position may require travel up to 5%.
