Job description

Are you a security professional with a passion for leadership, safety, and hospitality? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where protecting people, property, and operations is a top priority? If so, Hilton Milwaukee is seeking a Security Manager to join our team and help lead the hotel's comprehensive safety and security efforts.

Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, Hilton Milwaukee is Milwaukee's largest hotel. Originally built in 1927 as the Schroeder Hotel, the property features over 700 guest rooms, more than 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and hosts thousands of guests, associates, and visitors each year.

As Security Manager, you will assist the Director of Security & Transportation in overseeing all security and safety operations throughout the property. This role is responsible for supervising Security & Transportation Associates, supporting shipping & receiving and parking structure operations, conducting investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and service excellence.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist the Director of Security & Transportation with overseeing hotel safety and security operations.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop Security & Transportation Associates.
  • Create schedules, conduct shift briefings, and lead departmental meetings.
  • Investigate incidents and complete detailed reports.
  • Support OSHA compliance, safety training, and emergency response procedures.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Monitor security systems and partner with hotel leadership to identify and address security concerns.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide support across Security, Transportation, Shipping & Receiving, and Parking operations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous security, law enforcement, military, hospitality security, or related experience required.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
