Job description

The School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a Catholic Women’s Religious Community, and non-profit organization is looking for a full-time Security Officer.

Hours are 2:30pm-11:00pm

Rotating weekends required.

Pay starting at $18.00+ an hour based on experience.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Two years of experience in the Security field, degree in Police Science or Military training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and a good working knowledge base of security operations and safety practices.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid, unencumbered State of Wisconsin Driver License required.

Must have at least 2+ years of Security or related experience.

Demonstrated ability to deal with uncertainty, with objectivity and integrity.

Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and make independent and sound decisions in following established policies and procedures.

SUMMARY: The Security Officer is responsible for the security and safety of residents, contents and physical buildings, as well as for answering telephones, greeting visitors, maintaining security logs, monitoring closed circuit camera system and visitor activity and performing surveillance. Assists other departments, visitors, tenants and residents to the best of his or her ability in all security matters. In emergency situations, acts in accordance with the documented Emergency Plan policies and procedures.
