As a Security Officer - Full Time - Overnights in Grayslake, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, conduct screening procedures, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, perform routine observations, and deliver strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen people, packages, bags, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, manifests, and/or shipment documentation to help support authorized entry and exit activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while observing loading areas, trailer yards, and other operational spaces for security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
