What you will be doing

  • Provide a strong, visible leadership presence during peak guest activity periods, ensuring a safe, seamless, and elevated guest experience.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all hotel operations during evening hours, maintaining full ownership of guest, associate, and operational needs.

  • Assume full operational responsibility for the hotel during evening periods, ensuring all departments are aligned, responsive, and executing at a high level.

  • Lead the hotel through the transition from daytime to overnight operations, ensuring a smooth, well-communicated handoff to the overnight Manager on Duty.

  • Support and assist with front desk and guest arrival operations during high-volume periods, reinforcing service standards and operational flow.

  • Partner with Front Office and Rooms leadership to ensure efficient lobby operations, guest engagement, and timely issue resolution.

  • Act as the key decision-maker and escalation point for all operational, guest, and associate matters during peak hours.

  • Maintain strong visibility throughout public areas, reinforcing both security presence and elevated hospitality standards.

  • Execute Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities, including emergency response, guest recovery, and cross-department coordination.

  • Lead recruitment, selection, training, and development of Loss Prevention associates.

  • Ensure associates are fully trained and compliant with all safety and operational standards.

  • Provide ongoing coaching, counseling, and recognition to drive engagement and performance.

  • Conduct departmental meetings, shift roll calls, and training initiatives.

  • Maintain hotel radio communication protocols and emergency procedures.

  • Prepare, review, and maintain detailed reports and documentation.

  • Assist Loss Prevention Officers with their duties as needed.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Loss Prevention or Security Management.

  • Hospitality experience required; upscale or luxury environment preferred.

  • Proven leadership presence with strong professionalism in guest and associate interactions.

  • Experience with OSHA standards, safety compliance, and training programs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • CPR / First Aid certification preferred.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods.
