You will also support shipping and receiving controls, maintain accurate logs, and act as a first responder within the limits of your training during emergencies. This role is ideal for someone who is alert, composed, service-oriented, and committed to consistent execution in a secure environment.

Protect the people, assets, and access points that keep a mission-critical facility secure.

Shift: 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 11pm-8am)

What You Do Daily
  • Verify identities and enforce controlled access for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors entering and exiting the facility
  • Monitor surveillance systems, access control alarms, and fire alarm systems, initiating response and escalation procedures as required
  • Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols, identify security concerns or policy violations, and document findings accurately
  • Issue temporary visitor credentials, maintain complete visitor and vendor logs, and preserve chain-of-custody and traceability standards
  • Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, alarms, and medical emergencies in accordance with training, policy, and site procedures
  • Support secure shipping and receiving activities at controlled entry points in alignment with defined process and access standards
  • Respond to security-related tickets, cases, and communications in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain order and cleanliness within security-controlled areas, including monitoring stations and related workspaces
  • Recognize situations beyond assigned authority and escalate to Security Leadership in accordance with established protocols
What Makes You a Good Fit
  • Experience in security, access control, surveillance monitoring, or a similarly structured operational environment
  • Strong judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm during incidents or emergencies
  • Ability to follow established procedures consistently while maintaining professionalism with employees, customers, and visitors
  • Strong attention to detail in logging, incident documentation, credential control, and policy enforcement
  • Comfort working in a 24x7 environment where physical presence, responsiveness, and reliability matter
  • Ability to communicate clearly and escalate concerns appropriately when situations exceed assigned authority

Leadership Profile

  • Brings calm, professional presence to routine operations and urgent situations alike
  • Maintains discipline in monitoring, documentation, and response execution
  • Protects security standards without losing sight of professionalism and customer interaction
  • Understands the importance of escalation, traceability, and consistency in a regulated environment

What Success Looks Like

  • Access to the facility is controlled consistently, professionally, and without preventable security lapses
  • Surveillance, patrol, alarm response, and incident handling are executed with strong awareness and discipline
  • Visitor logs, badge records, and incident documentation are accurate, timely, and audit-ready
  • Security-related issues are identified early, addressed within scope, and escalated appropriately
  • Shipping, receiving, and controlled-area activities support both physical security and operational traceability
  • The facility maintains confidence in the security team's responsiveness, professionalism, and reliability

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in security, access control, facilities security, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working with badge systems, visitor management tools, CCTV, alarm systems, or incident reporting processes preferred
  • CPR, AED, first aid, or other relevant safety certifications preferred
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a 24x7 operating environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and report clearly
