Business Role Analyst / IAM Role Engineering Specialist
Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Role Analyst with a strong background in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA). This individual will partner with business stakeholders, application owners, and IAM teams to design, optimize, and govern enterprise business roles while supporting access governance initiatives across SailPoint platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, maintain, and enhance enterprise business roles and access templates.
  • Conduct role mining, role analysis, and RBAC optimization activities to improve access governance effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, application owners, and cross-functional teams to define, update, and govern role structures.
  • Support access certification campaigns and periodic business role reviews.
  • Maintain role documentation, governance procedures, reporting, and audit artifacts.
  • Analyze entitlement and access data to identify opportunities for role consolidation, simplification, and automation.
  • Support SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) and Identity Security Cloud (ISC) role management initiatives.
  • Assist with compliance reviews, audit requests, and broader access governance activities.
  • Provide recommendations to improve role design, access controls, and governance processes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Experience with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and role engineering methodologies.
  • Experience with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) processes and solutions.
  • Experience supporting access certification, entitlement management, and access request processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business analysis skills.
  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise IAM environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) and/or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage business stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Experience driving role mining, role optimization, and access governance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of compliance, audit, and regulatory access governance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and deliver IAM governance improvements.
  • Experience identifying automation opportunities within role and entitlement management processes.
