Allied Universal® is hiring a Assistant Site Supervisor/ Operations. The Assistant Site Supervisor/ Operations is a crucial guardian of our team’s proficiency and accountability. The Assistant Site Supervisor will oversee daily security Operational Security Operations for a high profile customer and its assets. Responsibilities involve not only assisting in managing the security team but also maintaining and administrating vital security team operational procedures and protocols. As the point person for both internal stakeholders and external partners, the Assistant Site Supervisor provide operational guidance support and supervision to the security team, ensuring the overall security and well-being of the Cenovus organization, its assets and security department. They will also play a pivotal role in identifying and addressing potential risks, collaborating with various departments, and strategizing to neutralize threats.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist and oversee in the supervision of daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion with an emphasis on operational supervision and assisting with administrative supervision duties
  • Oversee and become a Subject Material Expert (SME) in the refineries camera and access control systems
  • Serve as a member of the Site Supervision Management Team
  • Devise and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard the Cenovus organization and its assets
  • Perform routine security assessments to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities, crafting strategies for risk reduction
  • Monitor surveillance and alarm systems, swiftly responding to security breaches or incidents
  • Liaise with Senior Security Advisor/Manager
  • Administer daily operational duties to include but not limited to operational oversite and day-to-day security operations, Heliaus reporting and dissemination of reports and information, personnel Key Performance Indicator management, project management, scheduling management, payroll tracking and preparation, safety training and certification oversight
  • Investigate security incidents, accidents, and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
  • Collaborate across departments to integrate security measures into all operational and administrative facets, including events, facility management, and employee safety.
  • Stay abreast of evolving security trends, technologies, and regulations, providing recommendations for system and procedural enhancements.
  • Cross-train Security Administrative supervisors’ duties, becoming proficient in administrative technology, duties, and procedures. (Track, Payroll,etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional security experience
  • Robust leadership and supervision skills, adept at inspiring, motivating and efficiently managing teams
  • Profound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to analyze intricate security issues and devise effective solutions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal finesse, able to engage with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Expertise in security principles, encompassing risk assessment, threat analysis, and emergency response planning
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Outstanding organizational and time management prowess, skilled at task prioritization and meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in utilizing various computer software, including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, C-Cure, Avigilon, WinTeam, security management platforms, and incident reporting tools such as Heliaus and D3 reporting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • College degree in criminal justice or a related field
  • Knowledgeable about pertinent to Maritime security laws, regulations, and security industry best practices
  • Prior security operations supervision, law enforcement, or military experience
  • Valid security license or certification, such as Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
  • Incident Command System (ICS) training certification
