We're seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee the daily security operations of a large, high-profile venue in Saint Paul, MN. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing a 24/7 contract security operation, leading a large team of security professionals, ensuring exceptional client service, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, guests, and visitors.

Client Partnership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client leadership through regular communication and operational collaboration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for daily operational matters and security-related concerns.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and service level expectations are consistently achieved.
  • Provide operational updates, reports, and recommendations to both client and company leadership.
Safety, Compliance & Incident Management
  • Lead incident response efforts and ensure timely investigation and documentation of security incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, post orders, regulatory requirements, and client procedures.
  • Oversee access control, CCTV systems, key control, and other physical security technologies.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, emergency management agencies, and other public safety partners when necessary.
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor security personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching conversations, and disciplinary actions when appropriate.
  • Foster employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
  • Ensure all required certifications, licensing, and mandatory training remain current.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Prepare operational reports, incident documentation, staffing reports, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records related to personnel, scheduling, training, and compliance.
  • Assist with budgeting, labor management, and operational planning.
  • Support additional operational initiatives and special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience managing large contract security operations or security programs.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent client relationship and customer service abilities.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Experience managing staffing, scheduling, and workforce performance.
  • Knowledge of physical security systems, access control, CCTV, and incident management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record, if driving is required to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call support, as operational needs require.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive security experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience managing security personnel within a large-scale operation (1,100+ HPW preferred).
  • Experience supervising contract security services in corporate, healthcare, hospitality, and venue security, or other high-volume environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and security reporting systems.

Physical and Mental Demands:
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and talking.
  • Ability to stand or walk for up to 10 hours.
  • Occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 45 pounds.
  • Close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
