Job description

AC4S LLC is currently seeking a Security Guard Who Provides physical security coverage at the contractor-provided Northern Virginia warehouse facility, controlling access at all entrances and exits to ensure only authorized contractor staff and approved DOS personnel are permitted entry. Monitors facility security cameras and alarm systems, responding to alerts and reporting security incidents to the Facility/Security Administrator immediately upon detection. Conducts routine security patrols of the facility interior and exterior, identifying and reporting potential security vulnerabilities or unauthorized activity.

Supports escort procedures for classified pouch processing and other sensitive activities as directed by the Facility/Security Administrator. Maintains accurate visitor and access logs, verifying credentials and badge access for all personnel entering the facility. Responds to security incidents in accordance with established procedures, notifying the Facility/Security Administrator to support timely reporting to the AAS COR and applicable GTMs within required timeframes.

Experience and Skills: Knowledge of physical security operations, access control procedures, and facility protection best practices. Experience controlling access to secure facilities by verifying credentials, badges, and visitor authorizations. Ability to monitor CCTV systems, intrusion detection systems, alarms, and other electronic security equipment.

Experience conducting routine interior and exterior security patrols to identify potential security risks or unauthorized activities. Ability to respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and suspicious activity. Knowledge of incident reporting procedures and the ability to prepare accurate, detailed, and timely security reports.

Experience maintaining visitor logs, access records, and other security documentation. Ability to enforce facility security policies, procedures, and access requirements while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service. Experience supporting escort procedures for authorized visitors, contractors, and personnel requiring controlled access.

Strong observational skills with the ability to identify security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree - 3 or more years of relevant education/work experience. Master of Arts/Master of Science with 3+ years of experience.

Master of Arts/Master of Science with 1+ years of experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with Government personnel, employees, visitors, and emergency responders. Ability to remain calm, exercise sound judgment, and make effective decisions during emergency situations.

Strong attention to detail, integrity, reliability, and professionalism. Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining strict confidentiality. Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and perform security duties for extended periods in indoor and outdoor environments.

Physical Requirements Footwear: Steel-toe boots or steel-toe protective shoes are required at all times while performing warehouse duties or handling IT equipment. Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move IT equipment and boxed assets weighing a minimum of 40 pounds . Occasional lifting of items above this weight may be required with proper team-lift procedures.

Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday, including walking between storage areas, staging zones, and inventory stations. Bending, Stooping, and Reaching: Regular bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to access shelves, pallet racks, and inventory locations. Pushing and Pulling: Ability to push or pull carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment used to transport IT assets within the warehouse environment.

Manual Dexterity: Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to safely unbox, label, scan, connect, and prepare IT hardware and accessories. Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in a warehouse setting with variable temperatures, concrete flooring, and active movement of equipment and personnel. May require use of basic PPE such as gloves or safety glasses depending on task.
