Job description

For over 100 years, Urgel Bourgie / Athos has supported families with respect, professionalism, and compassion. We are seeking a reliable, discreet, and organized individual to welcome families and provide administrative support during services.

Are you currently studying, do you have experience in administration, secretarial work, or customer service, or are you looking for an on-call position in a professional environment? This opportunity may be right for you.

Your Day-to-Day Contribution

In this role, you will often be the first person families meet. Your warm welcome, calm demeanor, and organizational skills will directly contribute to the quality of their experience.

You will also provide essential administrative support to help ensure the smooth operation of the funeral complex.

Summary of Responsibilities
  • Welcome families and direct them to funeral directors and prearrangement counsellors;
  • Answer and forward telephone calls and faxes related to newspapers, contracts, grave openings, and other matters;
  • Open and review files;
  • Perform GAMMA file checks, including validation with families;
  • Complete various computer-related and administrative tasks;
  • Prepare and update burial and cremation files;
  • Review the complex’s calendar and scheduled events daily;
  • Communicate appointment information to the appropriate individuals;
  • Arrange and set up flowers;
  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of the premises and ensure that common areas and equipment, including the coffee machine, remain functional;
  • Perform any other related duties.
Candidate Profile

This position is particularly well suited to someone who:

  • Has experience or an interest in administration, secretarial work, reception, or customer service;

Employment Conditions
  • On-call, relief position;
  • Minimum availability of six days within each 14-day period;
  • Availability required every second weekend, for either day or evening shifts;
  • Hourly wage of $22.85, in accordance with the collective agreement.
