This is a school term, job level 4 ($21.50-$21.88/hour), 8.0 hours/day (8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with a half hour duty free break) position in the Transportation Department.
The duties of this position include:
  • providing clerical/secretarial assistance and support to the Transportation Coordinator
  • to ensure effective office operations and communications with students, parents/guardians, staff, district administration and the community
  • coordinate the DOT drug and alcohol testing
  • assist in scheduling routes and trips
  • assist in the processing of personnel records/forms including reviewing timesheet and time off requests
  • process invoices
  • prepare and review daily fuel system reports.

Applicants for this position must have excellent communication skills, strong organization skills, effective time management, ability to perform mathematical operations, experience working with computers, and experience in office procedures. In addition, applicants with knowledge of Bemidji School District and Minnesota transportation laws, policies and regulations; Bemidji School District streets, roads and highways; and state and federal DOT drug and alcohol testing programs rules and regulations are preferred.
