Job description

Summary
The CTE Secretary provides administrative and data support to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department. This position serves as a point of contact for schools, staff, and community partners and helps ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the CTE office.
Description
Classified position is opened to "In-House" personnel. Application must be submitted no later than Friday, August 28, 2026.
Administrative Assistant-Secondary
8.0 hours per day / 195 days per year / Salary Grade 7-$20.98 per hour (Support Salary Table 2026-27)
[Promotions result in a 5% minimum increase]
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide general secretarial and administrative support to CTE administrators and staff.
Serve as receptionist for the CTE office, including answering phones, greeting visitors, responding to questions, and directing inquiries.
Process extra duty payroll for staff, post receipts for department expenditures, and purchase office supplies and promotional materials.
Maintain accurate department records, files, calendars, directories, agendas, minutes, and correspondence.
Collect, organize, verify, and report CTE and Concurrent Enrollment (CE) data.
Assist with CTE program reporting, student enrollment information, and other required documentation.
Coordinate meetings, events, and other department activities.
Communicate and collaborate with school secretaries, counselors, teachers, administrators, district departments, and outside partners.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the CTE Department.
