JOB SUMMARY:
The District Registrar/Financial Secretary is responsible for managing district-wide student enrollment and registration processes while providing financial and administrative support to the District Office. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, strong customer service, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while ensuring compliance with Delaware Department of Education requirements and district policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
ย 

Required:
? High school diploma or GED.
? Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative or office experience.
? Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
? Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
? Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
? Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Education, or a related field. (Preferred)
? Experience working in a public school district.
? Experience with student information systems (Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, or similar).
? Experience with school financial software and FSF or the commitment to train within 90 days of the training being offered.
? Knowledge of Delaware Department of Education reporting requirements.
? Familiarity with state purchasing and accounting procedures.

District Registrar:
Coordinate and process all student registrations, withdrawals, and transfers.
Verify residency, age, immunization records, and other enrollment documentation in accordance with Delaware law and district policy.
Maintain accurate student records within the district's Student Information System.
Assist families with enrollment procedures and provide exceptional customer service.



Ensure student records comply with state and federal regulations, including FERPA.
Coordinate records requests with other school districts and educational agencies.
Prepare enrollment reports and maintain accurate student demographic information.
Support annual state reporting and data verification activities.
Collaborate with school administrators and counseling staff regarding student enrollment issues.
Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual.
Promotes a favorable image of the school district.
Applicant must demonstrate a level of knowledge and/or experience appropriate to the position.
Favorable criminal background and child protection registry check for the candidate offered employment Required.
Tuberculin test required.
Participation in Direct Deposit required.










Financial Secretary:
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Process purchase orders, invoices, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
Prepare bank deposits and maintain accurate financial records.
Reconcile financial transactions and assist with monthly account reviews.
Support budget tracking and financial reporting.
Maintain vendor files and purchasing documentation.
Assist with payroll documentation and employee reimbursement requests as assigned.
Ensure compliance with district purchasing procedures and internal controls.
Provide administrative support to the Business Office.
