Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced 2nd Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective operations of our warehouse during the second shift. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage and optimize warehouse processes.


Key responsibilities not limited to:

  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Manage and supervise warehouse staff during the second shift, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment by promoting teamwork and open communication.
    • Address and resolve employee issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee all warehouse operations during the second shift, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of products.
    • Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
    • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and accuracy in warehouse operations.
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and resolve operational issues.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including OSHA and company-specific guidelines.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and maintain accurate reports and records related to warehouse operations, including inventory levels, shipping and receiving logs, and employee performance.
    • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).


Requirements

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) as needed.
    • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
    • Willingness to work the second shift, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
