Job description

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, various shifts in boiler room
Operates and maintains steam boilers, auxiliaries, and chiller plant equipment. Represents the Facilities department on nights, weekends, and holidays as first contact regarding facilities. This position has no set shift in the boiler plant he/she will serve as coverage for vacations. During periods of no coverage the position will be day shift working with other trades as needed.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

  • 2 plus years of experience in a high pressure boiler room preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds, climb a ladder
  • Massachusetts Second Class Fireman License

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

  • Massachusetts First Class Fireman License or higher

Educational Requirements:

  • None required

License/Certification:

  • Massachusetts Second Class Fireman License is required
