Seasonal Credentials Evaluators are key to the undergraduate admissions process at Ohio State. As part of the Undergraduate Admissions Operations team, Seasonal Credentials Evaluators process and evaluate over 80,000 undergraduate applications annually. Application Evaluation includes data entry and administrative tasks to ensure accurate and comprehensive data is gathered in Ohio State admissions systems.
Develops/maintains thorough understanding of educational systems, University structure, programs, policies, procedures, admission requirements. Interprets and evaluates domestic and international high school and/or post-secondary education credentials based on thorough understanding of University structure, programs, policies, procedures, and admission requirements. Enters application information into the Student Information System (SIS). Evaluates authenticity of high school and/or post-secondary documents and determines acceptability. Researches, identifies and applies appropriate resources to interpret and evaluate high school transcripts, post-secondary course work, and GPA and class rank information. Evaluates supporting documents to determine admissibility based on university policies. Updates relevant information in SIS. Identifies discrepancies and consults with high school/college officials to resolve problems. Makes referrals, completes special projects, and performs general office duties.
This position is a seasonal appointment, beginning September 2026 and ending on or before February 19, 2027.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience. Strong attention to detail. Experience with various office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook). This position requires successful completion of a background check.
Desired:
1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
The pay range for this job profile
The salary range for this job profile is $17.50/hour - $20.04/hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, units' available budget, and the candidates' qualifications.
Modality & Residency
This is a remote position with occasional opportunities to come in-person to the Columbus Campus. There are 23 available openings.
Seasonal Credentials Evaluator candidates must be Ohio residents and live in the state of Ohio while serving in the role.
