Job description

Seasonal Trap Coach- Fall of 2026 and Spring of 2027

Join our Coaching team for the 2026/2027 school year. LPGE School is looking for Trap Head Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. LPGE is focused on building students of character by focusing on respect, citizenship, gratitude, compassion, integrity, cooperation, self-control, responsibility, and perseverance -- and we translate these traits into our athletic programs. Pay- $2,250 for both seasons 

  • Pay for the season: Fall season- $750, Spring - $1,500
  • Meet all expectations of MSHSL and MSHSL Clay target League.

Eligibility & Safety Requirements

  • Grade Levels: Open to coed and adaptive student athletes in grades 6 through 12. [1, 2]
  • Certification: Every participating student must earn a league-approved firearms safety certification (such as the MN DNR Certified Firearms Hunter Education) before handling a gun or joining practices. [1, 2]
  • Equipment: Students must supply their own shotgun, eye protection, and ear protection. Shell catchers are required on any shotgun that ejects spent hulls outside the immediate station. [1, 2, 3]

Competition & Scoring Rules

  • Team Structure: Teams require a minimum of five athletes, with a recommended ratio of one coach for every 10 athletes. [1, 2]
  • Scoring: The top five student athlete scores from a team determine the overall team score for their classification. Scores must be submitted to the league within 48 hours of completing a competition event. [1, 2]
  • Conduct: Test shots are never allowed. On-field coaching is prohibited while an athlete is occupying a shooting station during a competition event
