Registered Nurse, Full-Time (Dayshift & Nightshift)

Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97 bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in beautiful Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active-duty military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 1500 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cumberland Hall Hospital.

Join our dedicated nursing team and play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients and their families. As a Registered Nurse, you will lead and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. You'll access and address the unique needs of patients around the clock, implementing individualized care plans and evaluating their effectiveness. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment.

Job duties to include:

  • Assess and document initial data collection on patient admissions and subsequent reassessment at least once a shift according to policy and procedure.
  • Document and communicate effectiveness of nursing interventions and the patient's response to interventions in the medical record.
  • Communicate change of shift, accurate reports, verbal or written, of patients' behavior, status, and issues requiring follow up.
  • Utilize effective communication to orient patients to the program while explaining program/facility philosophy, policies and procedures to patients, families, and other staff.
  • Utilize proper procedures in the application of special treatment procedures (restraint and seclusion) according to hospital policy and procedure and State of Kentucky Mental Health Laws.
