Job description

SYSTEM WIDE SEASONAL TEAM - Full Time, Limited tenure Scripps employee who supports 13 or 26 weeks. With this seasonal position, you will not float but rather be stationed at 1 of our 5 hospitals based on facility need within San Diego .

This position offers a seasonal flat pay rate of $68.03 and $9K completion bonus available at the end of the initial assignment.

Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system.  As a member of the Seasonal team, you can fill vital roles on a contract basis (13 weeks or up to 26 weeks) to provide critical coverage for peak seasonal demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. 

Join our Scripps SSRS team as a Registered Nurse where you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. This includes the following: assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

*Previous Scripps employees who would like to move into a seasonal position will have to have left the organization for a frame of one (1) year prior to onboarding as a seasonal employee

Required Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years of recent RN experience in OR environment. 

  • Current CA RN License. 
  • Current American Heart Association BLS.
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.  

  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.

 Travel Requirements: 

  • Will be assigned to one of the five (5) Scripps Health hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, San Diego, Torrey Pines, and Chula Vista.
